The Merge is a unique fragmented art collection made from 312,686 pieces created by an artist named Pak. The digital artwork was sold to a total number of 28,983 buyers between 2-6 December 2021 on the popular NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway.
The unique artwork is a collection that was sold in units known as ‘mass’ and together fetched a total worth 91.8 million dollars. The Merge is to date the Most Expensive NFT digital artwork ever sold on any NFT marketplace.
2. The First 5000 Days
Selling price – 69 million dollars
This digital art masterpiece was created by a well-known digital artist Michael Winkelmann also known as Beeple. The artist named his new collection The First 5000 Days ‘Everyday’. Earlier Beeple made six digital sales from its digital art ‘Crossroads’. This is one of the reasons why the price soars up to more than a million dollars within an hour.
The auction of the artwork was completed on 21st February 2021. It fetched a total of 69 million dollars making it the second most expensive nft ever sold.

CryptoPunks was launched in 2017 by Larva Lavs a digital studio founded by Canadian developers. The collection consists of 10,000 tokens called ‘punks’. Each punk is different from one another, thus making each CryptoPunk an exclusive item.
